I absolutely love working with women. It’s hard to point out why exactly we think, and say certain things. Why we let the negative thoughts overpower the happy thoughts throughout each day. Why we talk negatively about ourselves or others. I do know that the minute you recognize the negative energy in your thoughts, the easier it is to change them.
I started this “silly” game with myself, and still do it to this day, even with my friends, and clients after I recognize the negativity whether it’s about ourselves or someone else.
“Say three things you love about yourself that you can’t change.”
The first time I asked myself that question, it took me 24 hours to come up with something. 24 HOURS!!! That broke my heart that I was so focused on things I didn’t like or wanted to change and forgetting who I was at that moment. Did I really think that low of myself? It’s not that I wasn’t beautiful, it was the fact that my mind was focusing so much on the negative that I started to talk badly of myself and others because I wasn’t even happy with myself.
We all have flaws, room for improvement, and a judgemental instinct. The minute I changed my mindset about myself, was the minute my entire life started to change. The people around me changed. The environment I was in changed. Most of all, I started smiling and laughing more. At one point today, ask yourself what three things you love about yourself are??? Don’t share them with anyone. Then ask yourself again tomorrow, and the next day, for a week...
Three things I love about myself:
1. I am very strong-willed and will take on any challenge that comes my way.
2. I see the good in everyone and every situation.
3. I love when I laugh so hard that I let out a little snort.
